Dallah Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technology Specialist to join its team. This is a full-time position for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in the field. The specialist will be responsible for providing high-standard care to patients by performing radiological procedures at a technical level, operating with independence and without direct supervision.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Radiology Technology Specialist applies independent judgment and initiative to obtain prescribed radiological studies. This role requires a commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and adherence to professional standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing radiological procedures at a technical level without supervision.
• Using independent judgment and initiative to obtain radiological studies for prescribed examinations.
• Assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as scheduled by supervisory staff.
• Selecting and operating appropriate equipment for each examination.
• Positioning patients accurately according to requested examinations.
• Selecting appropriate technical factors for each patient to ensure optimal imaging.
• Producing images of acceptable film quality.
• Ensuring compliance with all radiation protection and safety regulations through suitable working practices.
• Maintaining a correct attitude of professional conduct and conforming to all ethical relationships.
• Ensuring examination rooms are clean and prepared at all times.
• Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the Chief Technician or designee.
• Assisting in the emergency treatment of patients.
• Observing all infection control standards, particularly concerning sterile procedures.
• Administering oral, rectal, and parenteral contrast media, including intravenous contrast media, under the direction and supervision of the radiologist.
• Implementing and coordinating policies and procedures to achieve hospital goals and objectives in pursuit of Standards of Care and Quality/Performance Improvement.
• Participating in patient and family education to enhance understanding and participation in care decisions.
• Performing any other duties within the range of professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Chief Radiology Technician and/or Head of Radiology.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in radiology technology. This experience should demonstrate the ability to perform radiological procedures independently and effectively manage the responsibilities outlined above.
