About the Opportunity

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residue Storage Area (RSA) Specialist to join their team. This full-time position is based in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, within the vital mining and industrial sector. The role is central to ensuring the safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operation of critical facilities.

Role Purpose and Focus

The primary purpose of this role is to support the compliant operation of residue/tailings storage facilities. The successful candidate will maintain a strong focus on asset integrity, adherence to GISTM standards, robust monitoring and surveillance practices, effective risk management, comprehensive water management, and thorough emergency preparedness protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily RSA/TSF operations, including residue deposition, water recovery, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor embankment conditions, freeboard, pond locations, seepage, and operational constraints.
• Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with GISTM and applicable tailings management standards.
• Review and interpret geotechnical monitoring data, including piezometers, inclinometers, settlement monuments, seepage, and survey monitoring systems.
• Implement and support Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs).
• Maintain operational and geotechnical risk registers and mitigation actions.
• Support Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP), drills, and emergency scenarios.
• Coordinate effectively with the Engineer of Record (EoR), RTFE, ITRB, engineering, operations, environmental teams, and contractors.
• Support water balance management, pond inventory, return-water recovery, seepage, stormwater, and environmental controls.
• Participate in audits, inspections, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field, specifically within the operation and management of residue or tailings storage facilities.
