About the Role

stc is seeking a Security Design & Implementation Expert to design specialized cybersecurity and network security architecture, frameworks, and protocols. This full-time role focuses on safeguarding infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats, ensuring proactive detection, prevention, and response measures are implemented in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and maintain robust security solutions that protect digital environments. The role holder will ensure the resilience of systems against cyber threats and adhere to stipulated business policies and procedures in all duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Design network security frameworks to protect infrastructure, technology assets, and data, in line with cybersecurity strategies and industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain specialized network and cybersecurity architecture to safeguard digital environments and ensure resilience against cyber threats.
• Establish device-level security guidelines for Mission-Critical and Business-Critical systems, including access controls, encryption standards, and authentication protocols.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Mission-Critical Security Operations Center (SOC) to enable proactive threat detection, incident response, and mitigation.
• Coordinate vendor activities related to SOC deployment and cybersecurity system upgrades, ensuring compliance with specialized technical and security requirements.
• Implement and monitor preventative security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus tools to protect the organization from external threats.
• Support the integration of advanced threat detection tools (*, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) to enable real-time security monitoring and response capabilities.
• Develop and maintain vulnerability assessment plans across specialized systems, networks, and applications to detect and resolve potential weaknesses.
• Improve and adapt penetration testing and vulnerability management methodologies in response to emerging cybersecurity challenges.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and communication protocols to minimize damage from security breaches and report Mission-Critical-related breaches to the MCC as required.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in security design and implementation.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing cybersecurity and network security architectures.
• Proficiency in implementing and monitoring preventative security solutions.
• Experience with advanced threat detection tools and vulnerability management.
