Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the Role

CNTXT is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the strategy and architecture for infrastructure lifecycle and deployment processes. The successful candidate will design, drive, and govern the implementation of robust, highly-available CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to ensure speed, security, and scalability across critical cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of resilient, secure, and scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define best practices for managing, provisioning, and optimizing large-scale GCP infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on cost and security governance.
• Architect and manage complex GCP cloud resources and services across multiple environments.
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud security and DevOps principles.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve complex cloud infrastructure and deployment challenges.

Detailed Accountabilities

• Define architecture and best practices for secure CI/CD pipelines, leveraging GCP tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. Lead migration and optimization of complex, multi-stage pipelines for efficient application deployment to GKE or Cloud Run.
• Design and implement DevSecOps tools into applications and infrastructure pipelines, with proficiency in tools such as Sysdig and Fortify.
• Architect, manage, and govern immutable cloud infrastructure on GCP using IaC tools, primarily Terraform. This includes configuring and managing secure GCP resources, networking (VPC, Load Balancers, VPNs), advanced serverless components, and data services (Cloud SQL, Firestore).
• Design and own the end-to-end system observability platform, implementing advanced monitoring systems that track performance, aggregate logs, and provide insights using Google Cloud Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging). Establish SLIs/SLOs and lead incident response processes.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert and technical lead for GCP services and advanced DevOps methodologies. Mentor junior engineers, drive continuous improvement across cloud infrastructure and processes, and influence engineering roadmaps.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Cloud DevOps engineering.
