The Role of Senior Projects Manager

Havelock One Interiors is seeking a Senior Projects Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the overall planning, coordination, and control of fast-track fit-out projects from inception to completion. The primary objective is to deliver financially viable projects that meet client requirements, are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. While the office is based in Riyadh, projects are located across the country, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

• Work towards the creation and execution of business development strategies aligned with company goals.
• Research and build relationships with new clients.
• Attend industry functions, providing feedback on market and creative trends.
• Supervise the end-to-end tendering process.
• Identify stakeholders and plan communications for projects.
• Develop project management plans and schedules, ensuring activities are clearly defined.
• Plan procurement in line with project schedules and identify and manage project risks.
• Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, performance requirements, and subcontractor selection.
• Interface with the project team to share best practices and ensure effective resource utilization.
• Implement operations through coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting, and construction.
• Maintain accurate records of construction progress and oversee construction sites, vendors, and trades.
• Analyze and share regular updates on site operations with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication with clients throughout projects.
• Direct and manage project execution, ensuring all works are monitored, coordinated, and controlled.
• Acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
• Conduct and administer procurement in line with project schedules and distribute project information.
• Perform quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage all local municipality and government approvals required for project operation and handover.
• Verify and control changes in scope and costs, and manage project invoicing and final accounting.
• Monitor and control project risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in an interior fit-out contracting company.
• Strong technical, execution, and commercial abilities with sound knowledge of various trades in fit-out contracting.
• A proven track record as a successful leader in project management within fit-out contracting businesses.
• Academic qualification, preferably a University Degree, in a technical discipline.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Ability to effectively manage single or multiple projects from award through implementation to handover.
• Successful track record of working on projects such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural and multinational market environment.
• Very good knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market, including client, subcontractor, and supplier networks, is preferred.
• Strong awareness of the latest developments and current trends in the fit-out market.
