Role Overview: Senior Specialist, Inventory Management II
Ma'aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Inventory Management II for a full-time position. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and cost-effective management of inventory, assets, and warehouse operations across multiple operational camps. The Senior Specialist will support uninterrupted operations by implementing effective stock control systems, overseeing warehouse management, coordinating with vendors and field teams, and maintaining data integrity. The position also enforces safety and audit compliance and drives continuous improvement in inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general inventory, asset, and warehouse management across multiple camps, including daily operations such as receiving, inspecting, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials.
- Implement systems to monitor material usage, prevent shortages, and reduce wastage, defining reorder levels, safety stock, and asset thresholds for timely replenishment.
- Manage warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, space utilization, material handling, and inventory flow, maintaining organized layouts and accurate stock location records.
- Ensure all materials are stored according to manufacturer recommendations, safety requirements, and company procedures, and manage warehouse equipment serviceability.
- Maintain and update accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports, preparing ad hoc reports and data analysis to support management decisions.
- Ensure inventory handling, storage, and distribution comply with safety, environmental, legal, and audit standards, enforcing FIFO or other approved inventory methods.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for timely delivery, repairs, maintenance, and quality assurance of inventory and assets, reviewing technical proposals and quotations.
- Track and monitor assets issued to users, manage system requests for asset assignments, and ensure appropriate storage for sensitive items.
- Maintain complete documentation for all inventory transactions and conduct random inspections and physical inventory counts to verify stock accuracy.
- Identify and process disposal of obsolete, damaged, expired, or unused materials in line with company policies, applying inventory optimization techniques.
- Conduct weekly coordination meetings with field camp management teams and deliver training on inventory procedures and system usage.
- Review petty cash invoices and supporting documents for completeness and compliance, and follow up on inventory-related deliveries and invoices.
- Request Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for inventory items, assets, and related services, and review supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Drive initiatives to improve inventory efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance system reliability, performing other assigned tasks in support of operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or asset management roles.
- Preferred experience includes working in remote sites, camps, or industrial/mining environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory across multiple locations or remote sites.
- Proven experience with audits, reporting, and ERP or Inventory Management systems.
Work Environment and Scope
This full-time position requires managing inventory and warehouse operations across multiple operational camps, which may involve rotational presence. The role operates within a dynamic industrial and mining environment.
