About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Senior Technical and Engineering Manager. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of the company's operations. The role involves managing value engineering opportunities, construction methodologies, method statements, engineering design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals, including their approval processes.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical and Engineering Manager will lead the preparation and verification of detailed construction drawings. This position also includes negotiating and securing necessary technical and statutory approvals to ensure optimal effectiveness and continuous monitoring of project progress. The manager will drive engineering excellence and efficiency across all technical functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation of technical and engineering strategies and operational goals to meet customer expectations regarding product development, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Manage the Technical and Engineering function, ensuring high-quality service delivery and striving for best-in-class products and business practices.
• Ensure a safe working environment within company workplaces, adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy.
• Manage the engineering team on project sites, providing direction, strategy, and daily, weekly, and monthly work plans.
• Maintain strong relationships with all key project stakeholders and engineering team members.
• Increase the efficiency of the technical team's performance through strategic approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in technical and engineering management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects and teams.
• Proficiency in overseeing engineering design, shop drawings, and material submittal processes.
