The Role of Site Reliability Engineer - Saudi Only
As Lucidya scales globally, the reliability, performance, and resilience of its infrastructure are critical. This full-time role for a Site Reliability Engineer focuses on ensuring the stability of Lucidya's cloud infrastructure, which processes massive volumes of real-time customer data. The engineer will be responsible for anticipating and preventing issues, designing resilient systems, and building automation to maintain platform stability and seamless scalability. This position requires 2-5 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure.
- Proactively identify and eliminate single points of failure.
- Ensure production systems remain stable under increasing scale and load.
- Manage and continuously improve workloads across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for standardization and scalability.
- Optimize resource usage to balance performance and cost.
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, etc.).
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth deployments and upgrades for containerized workloads.
- Implement and refine monitoring systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK.
- Define meaningful alerting and respond to incidents, leading root cause analysis.
- Develop scripts and tooling to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to address performance bottlenecks and improve CI/CD and deployment reliability.
- Contribute to shaping reliability best practices across the organization.
First 90 Days Objectives
- First 30 days: Develop a strong understanding of Lucidya's infrastructure, systems, and workflows. Contribute to day-to-day operations with team support and identify initial areas for automation and reliability improvements.
- By 90 days: Independently manage infrastructure tasks and troubleshoot issues. Actively contribute to reliability and scalability improvements, taking ownership of specific infrastructure components.
