The Role of Sorting Team Leader

The Sorting Team Leader is a full-time position within the JINGDONG Logistics team. This role involves overseeing and optimizing sorting operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely dispatch of goods. The Team Leader will manage daily team activities, implement operational standards, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a seamless logistics flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scientific sorting plans based on cargo volume and timeliness targets.
• Allocate tasks among team members and coordinate equipment usage to ensure orderly sorting operations and timely completion.
• Oversee the execution of sorting workflows, inspect compliance with operational standards, and correct violations.
• Analyze operational bottlenecks, optimize sorting paths and methods, and promote process standardization to enhance efficiency.
• Address anomalies such as cargo damage or sorting errors, providing timely feedback and coordinating solutions.
• Conduct random inspections and verification of sorting quality to ensure accuracy and reduce error rates.
• Manage daily operations of the sorting team and organize training sessions to improve operational skills and safety awareness.
• Monitor team members' work status, foster a positive team atmosphere, and enhance team cohesion and execution.
• Collaborate with loading/unloading, transportation, and other roles to ensure smooth handover of goods.
• Communicate and provide feedback promptly, resolving interface issues between sorting and other operational stages.
