About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Subsea Engineer to join its Marine Operations Division. This full-time role involves leading the planning, engineering, and delivery of key subsea tasks to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Context and Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide essential subsea services to offshore customers. This includes managing diving and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations, with a focus on underwater inspections, repairs, maintenance, and construction. The Subsea Engineer will also offer advanced technical expertise and support for resolving complex technical issues related to subsea operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main interface between diving operations and customers for developing detailed procedures, equipment lists, and other requirements.
  • Lead the onshore planning and offshore execution of subsea operations.
  • Act as the focal point for all Scope of Work (SOW) reviews, design reviews, and Saudi Aramco engineering compliance.
  • Ensure all subsea work adheres to Saudi Aramco’s Marine Operations Manual and recognized Marine Guidance Documents.
  • Perform as the Client Worksite Representative offshore when necessary, ensuring intervention contractors receive correct site information and that the site is safe by identifying known hazards.
  • Provide technical input for development projects, offering functional guidance to engineering contractors on discipline-specific matters to meet Aramco standards efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Act as Saudi Aramco’s technical point of contact for all subsea project contracts.
  • Provide technical input for decommissioning or new projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work primarily for a major Subsea Contractor undertaking underwater inspections, repairs, maintenance, and construction activities.
  • Significant offshore experience in delivering subsea operations in a lead or field engineer role.
  • Experience with international Marine regulatory body requirements, classification standards, Marine engineering practices, subsea engineering practices, underwater technologies, codes, and specifications.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
