Supervisor Landscape Maintenance

About the Role

The Red Sea Landscape Nursery is seeking a Supervisor - Landscape Maintenance to oversee and coordinate daily landscape maintenance operations. This full-time role is essential for ensuring that all landscaped areas meet high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for workforce deployment, softscape maintenance, irrigation coordination, and overall plant health monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily landscape maintenance activities within designated areas.
• Plan daily work schedules and allocate manpower based on operational priorities and site requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance of trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers, lawns, and seasonal plants, including horticultural activities such as pruning, trimming, mowing, planting, fertilization, weeding, mulching, and plant replacement.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure landscape areas meet required quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor plant health, identifying issues such as irrigation problems, pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Coordinate with the irrigation team regarding performance, leaks, blockages, damaged components, and watering schedules.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, tools, machinery, equipment, and landscape materials.
• Monitor stock and material requirements, coordinating timely availability of fertilizers, chemicals, plants, soil, and other maintenance materials.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, toolbox talks, and safe working practices.
• Follow up on work orders, site observations, client comments, and corrective actions until closure.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports covering manpower, completed works, pending activities, materials, equipment, and operational issues.
• Coordinate with Landscape Management, Irrigation, Nursery, HSE, Facilities, Logistics, and other support functions.
• Identify operational challenges, manpower shortages, quality concerns, or delays and escalate them to the Line Manager.
• Support employee performance monitoring and provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to the landscape team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in landscape maintenance supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of horticultural practices, plant health, and irrigation systems.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in planning work schedules and allocating resources.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and ensure quality standards.
• Knowledge of HSE procedures and safe working practices in landscape operations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for liaising with various teams and management.
• Capability to prepare accurate daily and weekly operational reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within The Red Sea Landscape Nursery, requiring active supervision and coordination of outdoor landscape maintenance activities. The role involves working closely with gardeners, landscape technicians, and various support functions to achieve operational excellence.
