Role Summary
The Supervisor Loss Prevention is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of guests, employees, and property assets. This full-time role involves patrolling all areas, responding to incidents, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol all property areas, secure rooms, and assist guests with room access.
- Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems.
- Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations, responding to accidents, contacting EMS, or administering first aid/CPR as required.
- Gather information and complete reports, maintaining confidentiality of documents and releasing information only to authorized individuals.
- Defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures, resolve safety hazard situations, and handle all interruptions and complaints.
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property and ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.
- Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
- Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing over 75 pounds with assistance.
- Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements for this position.
