About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Occupational Safety & Health Saudi to join their team. This full-time role involves assessing risks within the hotel work environment to minimize associate illness and injury during work hours. The Supervisor will inspect hazardous factors and the quality of equipment and facilities, leading the organization towards a healthy and safe work environment through advising, monitoring, reporting, and engaging staff in safe practices. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Verify that uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Support the team to achieve common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Verify adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Required Skills and Physical Demands

  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
  • Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
  • Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
