Technician CMD

About the Role

Zahid Tractor is seeking a Technician-CMD to join their team. This full-time role involves the maintenance of equipment sold and serviced by the company, reporting directly to the Service Supervisor/Branch Manager. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work assignments effectively with minimal supervision, meeting time requirement guidelines.
• Execute the removal, installation, disassembly, and assembly of components such as fuel systems, turbochargers, water pumps, air compressors, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders, engines, transmissions, and torque converters, following appropriate service literature.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and Technical Analysis Level 1 (TA1) on Caterpillar equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install attachments sold and serviced by the company.
• Complete routine reporting requirements, including work orders, warranty paperwork, and tracking of equipment time.
• Maintain communication with the branch supervisor/shop managers regarding assigned work orders and pertinent details.
• Conduct safety assessments before and during jobs, organize workstations, and address unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with other company personnel and execute instructions accurately.
• Provide assistance to other department personnel as needed.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Supervisor/Manager, potentially specializing in specific areas.

Required Knowledge

• Fundamentals of Diesel Engine Systems.
• Fundamentals of Machine Systems.
• Competence for foundational level technician assessment.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant technical field.
