VC Analyst

About the Role

Pairs is seeking a VC Analyst to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on establishing relationships with investors who directly back private companies and presenting them with suitable investment opportunities. Pairs operates as a global network connecting family offices, institutional investors, VCs, and angels, screening deal flow and investing alongside its network.

Role Context

The VC Analyst will work on the investor side of Pairs, identifying active investors, understanding their investment criteria, and matching them with appropriate opportunities. The primary focus is on initial outreach and engagement, converting replies into calls, and scheduling meetings between qualified investors and founders. This role supports direct investments in companies, not fund limited partnerships. The platform manages pipeline, research, and follow-up, allowing the analyst to concentrate on investor conversations and capital commitment readiness. This is an early-career position where drive and judgment are prioritized over extensive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investor research to identify active investors, their preferred stages, check sizes, and investment focus.
• Initiate first contact with investors through well-crafted messages that elicit replies.
• Convert initial replies into calls and book qualified investors for meetings with founders whose opportunities align with their investment mandates.
• Develop and maintain a growing network of current and qualified investors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in or around venture capital, such as an analyst, scout, accelerator role, or a position close to deals.
• Ability to articulate interesting investment rounds from the current year.
• Demonstrated skill in writing concise, specific messages that generate responses from unfamiliar contacts.
• Capacity to maintain a high pace of work without compromising quality and adhere to established processes.
• Understanding of basic investment round concepts: stage, check size, SAFE vs. priced rounds, and common reasons for investor passes.
• Strong discretion; applicants should not include investor names in their application.
• Proficiency in using AI tools daily, with clear judgment on their appropriate application.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a fully remote, asynchronous role. The VC Analyst will work directly with the two co-founders and the investor team, benefiting from a flat organizational structure that provides direct insight into deal screening processes. The role offers a base salary plus commission, with opportunities for growth into a senior investor-side position as the network expands.
