EagleBurgmann, a leading international specialist in industrial sealing technology and part of the global technology group Freudenberg, is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, covering customer sites in Al Khobar and Dammam. The role focuses on enhancing the reliability of mechanical sealing systems for industrial clients.

Role Overview

The Senior Reliability Engineer is responsible for managing and improving the reliability of installed mechanical seals at customer sites. This involves addressing customer pain points, conducting independent troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and coordinating with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and manage claims, ultimately aiming for higher reliability.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the reliability of mechanical seals installed at customer sites.
• Address customer reliability concerns, acting as a liaison between customers and the EB office to eliminate recurring issues and manage claims.
• Perform independent mechanical seal troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) based on site inputs, leveraging application engineering support.
• Support the IP & AM Sales team with troubleshooting, RCA, and claim management during project phases, requiring direct customer coordination.
• Prepare and submit regular reliability reports to all stakeholders (weekly/monthly).
• Engage with customer departments and participate in technical meetings to resolve mechanical seal failure issues, preparing reports in adherence to contractual KPIs.
• Contribute to improving the reliability of Fixed Fee programs through coordination with sales, service, and engineering teams.
• Involve the Service Director in customer meetings as needed.
• Ensure efficient collaboration with EB sales, service, and engineering team members.
• Provide consistent on-site customer support, involving travel at least three days per week.
• Utilize EB ERP systems such as C4C, SealCarePro, and SAP ByD effectively.
• Prepare service reports, RCA, troubleshooting reports, MTBF analysis, bad actor analysis, and engineering reports for internal and external submission.
• Coordinate effectively with EB-Germany for all relevant cases.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of technical experience within the Mechanical Seal Industry, including service and on-site activities.
• Ability to independently install mechanical seals.
• Capability to perform mid-level troubleshooting at customer sites.

Essential Skills and Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps, Agitators, Mixers, and Blowers.
• Awareness of Centrifugal Compressors is an advantage.
• Proficient knowledge of Wet Mechanical Seals, Supply Systems, and API 682 Standards.
• Familiarity with ANSI, Engineering Drawings, Limits & Fits Tolerances.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in computer and IT systems, including MS Office and document management.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role involves significant interaction with customers at their sites, requiring frequent travel within the Al Khobar and Dammam regions. The Senior Reliability Engineer will work closely with various internal teams, including sales, service, and engineering, and will report directly to the Service Director.
