As part of its expansion in the key growth market of Saudi Arabia, Havelock One Interiors is seeking an experienced leader for the role of Senior Projects Manager.

Role Purpose

The Senior Projects Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of fast-track fit-out projects from inception to completion. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focuses on delivering projects across various sectors, including Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education. The primary objective is to ensure projects are financially viable, completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, meeting client requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies in line with company goals, including researching and building client relationships.
• Attend industry events to gather feedback on market and creative trends, and supervise the end-to-end tendering process.
• Identify stakeholders and plan communications, developing comprehensive project management plans and schedules.
• Ensure clear definition of activities for all stakeholders and plan procurement according to project schedules.
• Identify and plan for risk management and responses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting sub-contractors.
• Interface with project teams to share best practices and optimize resource utilization (labour, materials, equipment).
• Coordinate and control planning, design, estimating, contracting, and construction operations.
• Maintain accurate records of construction progress, oversee sites, and manage vendors and trades.
• Analyze and provide regular updates on site operations to relevant stakeholders and maintain client communication.
• Direct and manage project execution, ensuring proper monitoring, coordination, and control of all works.
• Acquire, develop, and manage the project team, and administer procurement in line with the project schedule.
• Distribute project information to relevant stakeholders and perform quality assurance and control.
• Manage all local municipality and government approvals required for project operation and handover.
• Verify and control changes in scope and costs, manage project invoicing, and final accounting.
• Monitor and control project risks.

Required Qualifications

• Academic qualification, preferably a University Degree, in a technical discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in an interior fit-out contracting company.
• Demonstrated success as a leader in project management within the fit-out contracting sector.
• Proven experience managing single or multiple projects from award through implementation to handover.
• Successful track record working on diverse project types such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong technical, execution, and commercial abilities with sound knowledge of various trades involved in fit-out contracting.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a multi-cultural and multinational environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a project team.
• Very good knowledge of the KSA market, including networks of clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers, is preferred.
• A strong understanding of the latest developments and current trends in the fit-out market, with the ability to propose strategies to enhance the company's industry presence and brand.
