About the Alternate Site Manager Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Alternate Site Manager to support Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) operations within Southwest Asia. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The Alternate Site Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of aircraft arrival and departure services for * and Coalition Forces as part of the AFCAP V Program.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Alternate Site Manager (ASM) is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all TAS operations at an assigned installation. Reporting to the Site Manager, the ASM ensures all operations strictly adhere to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), contractual obligations, technical orders, airfield safety standards, and * Air Force directives. This role involves leadership across all flight line activities, including aircraft servicing, marshaling, parking, and departure procedures, while also assisting in the supervision of assigned personnel.

  • Maintain a ZERO Harm workplace by enforcing flight line safety, FOD prevention, and tool control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Quality Assurance requirements, including documentation and reporting.
  • Oversee daily TAS operations, including aircraft arrival, servicing, and departure activities, to meet PWS performance objectives.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor assigned personnel, reinforcing operational discipline and safety standards.
  • Act as the Site Manager in their absence, maintaining operational authority and decision-making.
  • Coordinate daily tasking, assign work, monitor execution, and resolve operational challenges impacting aircraft flow.
  • Schedule personnel to maintain required 24/7/365 service levels, including surge and contingency operations.
  • Inspect and audit work to verify compliance with PWS, Technical Orders, and airfield procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee aircraft ground handling and servicing operations for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Monitor performance trends, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to sustain mission readiness.
  • Coordinate effectively with Government stakeholders, including COR, ACO, Airfield Management, and MOC.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and records management, including staffing updates and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accountability for on-site equipment, vehicles, and tools.
  • Support personnel training, qualification, and readiness.
  • Assist with transition, mobilization, and demobilization activities to ensure operational continuity.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple competing requirements in a dynamic environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Alternate Site Manager position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. The role demands a strong understanding of airfield operations and safety protocols. Experience in managing personnel and coordinating complex logistical operations within a demanding environment is essential.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Maximum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience supporting * Air Force or similar military aviation operations is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a 24/7 operational setting.
  • Familiarity with Performance Work Statements (PWS) and contractual compliance.

Work Environment and Context

This position operates within KBR's AFCAP V Program, which provides critical Southwest Asia Transient Aircraft Services (SWA TAS) to the * Air Force. The work is performed in an austere, high-tempo, 24/7/365 environment. The role requires the ability to maintain operational continuity and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders, including Government representatives and mission partners.
