About the Role

ALSAFWA HOSPITAL BY MAJESTY is seeking an Anesthesia Technology Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves supporting anesthesia providers in delivering high-quality patient care. The role requires a dedicated professional with 0-1 years of experience, focused on ensuring the efficient and safe operation of anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and ensure the proper functioning of anesthesia machines, monitors, ventilators, and other related equipment prior to surgical procedures.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and readiness for use.
• Assist in the preparation and management of intravenous (IV) lines, syringes, and anesthesia-related instruments.
• Support the anesthesia provider with patient positioning and preparation, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Set up the anesthesia workspace with necessary supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to requests for additional equipment, supplies, or assistance during procedures.
• Assist in monitoring patient vital signs as directed by the anesthesia provider.
• Support the maintenance of a sterile field and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Ensure all medications are stored, handled, and disposed of safely in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment checks, medication usage, and other anesthesia-related activities.
• Document and report any incidents, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Adhere to infection control policies, including sterilization and disinfection of equipment.
• Comply with safety protocols for handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with anesthesia providers, surgical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on equipment management and process improvement.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
• Perform other assigned tasks to support departmental objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Anesthesia Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) with classification as Specialist – Anesthesia or higher.
• Proficiency in patient monitoring and anesthesia-related equipment.
• Strong clinical decision-making and emergency response skills.
• High attention to patient safety and infection control protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Fluent in English.
• Ethical, responsible, and calm under pressure.

• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
