About the Assistant Head, Physical Rehabilitation Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking an Assistant Head, Physical Rehabilitation to provide essential administrative support to the Head of Physical Rehabilitation. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and involves overseeing daily operational activities and contributing to the department's strategic planning and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Head, Physical Rehabilitation, in daily operational activities.
• Plan, control, coordinate, and measure the work of the department.
• Assist in resolving daily operational problems and recommend department policy changes.
• Ensure optimal utilization of department resources, including equipment, supplies, and personnel.
• Oversee staff assignment schedules and leave planning, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Provide direct supervision to Physical Therapy supervisors.
• Support annual planning, manpower utilization, and efficiency initiatives.
• Evaluate equipment needs and recommend purchases, ensuring proper maintenance.
• Assist with the revision and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and goals, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
• Develop data and initiate proposals to improve the operating efficiency of Physical Therapy functions.
• Assist the Head of Department in preparing reports and performance indicators, ensuring timely submission.
• Support the evaluation and selection of employment candidates.
• Ensure compliance with CBAHI, JCI, and other regulatory requirements, and prepare the department for audits and accreditation.
• Liaise with Protocol Services to arrange and facilitate VIP patient treatment.
• Adhere to all Hospital's related Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Master's degree, or 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• This experience must include at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Current Registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is mandatory.
