About the Role

KPMG is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves managing valuation and financial advisory engagements for a diverse client portfolio. The role requires leading engagement teams, developing and reviewing financial models, conducting business valuations, and preparing client deliverables, while also supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple valuation and financial advisory engagements, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Develop and review complex financial models and valuation analyses using methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Market Multiples, and Comparable Transactions.
  • Perform business valuations, intangible asset valuations, purchase price allocations, and impairment assessments.
  • Analyze financial statements, operational data, and market information to identify key value drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct financial model reviews and stress-testing exercises to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Research companies, industries, market trends, and economic conditions to support valuation conclusions and strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare high-quality valuation reports, financial advisory reports, and executive presentations.
  • Draft and present findings to senior management and clients, highlighting key financial trends, valuation drivers, risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members through coaching and on-the-job guidance.
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and subject matter specialists to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, client pursuits, and business development initiatives.

Engagement and Team Management

This role involves overseeing engagement progress, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently. Ensuring compliance with the firm's internal quality, risk management, and documentation policies is crucial. The Assistant Manager will foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, delegating tasks effectively to maximize team productivity.

Stakeholder and Business Development Support

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and engagement teams is a key aspect of this position. The Assistant Manager will liaise with Directors, Partners, and senior management on engagement execution, client matters, and project strategy. Support for proposal preparation and client pursuits is also expected.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, or equivalent, are preferred.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in valuation, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory, preferably within a Big 4 or leading consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and client-facing engagements.
