About the Role

IC İçtaş İnşaat / IC İctas Construction, a global entity with over 50 years of experience in diverse projects including airports, ports, roads, and power plants, is seeking a Cost Control Chief. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on managing cost control for a road project.

Role Overview

The Cost Control Chief will be responsible for overseeing and managing all cost control activities for a significant road project in Riyadh. This role requires a strategic approach to financial management, ensuring project profitability and adherence to budgetary constraints. The individual will play a key part in the financial success of the project by implementing robust cost control systems and providing critical financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive cost control systems for road and bridge projects to ensure accurate expense tracking and budget adherence, thereby enhancing project profitability.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and prepare financial reports to provide insights into project performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to project managers.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to establish realistic project budgets aligned with project objectives.
• Monitor ongoing project expenses and provide regular updates to senior management on financial status and potential risks to budget adherence.
• Lead cost forecasting efforts by utilizing historical data and market trends to predict future expenses and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure costs are justified and aligned with project specifications.
• Implement and maintain effective change order processes to manage scope changes and their financial implications, ensuring proper documentation and approval.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure projects such as bridges, underpasses, overpasses, roads, and highways.
• Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Cost Control Chief, managing cost control functions on large-scale infrastructure works.

Skills and Language Proficiency

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Arabic proficiency is considered a plus.
