About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on the accurate and effective evaluation of loan applications to mitigate credit risk and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.

Core Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for guiding the evaluation of loan applications within assigned segments. This includes assessing credibility, calculating credit limits, and defining required collateral to protect the Bank from potential credit risks and losses. The role involves implementing approved departmental policies and procedures, and suggesting improvements to enhance existing processes.

Credit Review and Analysis

Key duties include supporting credit evaluations by providing guidance for the accurate review of applications. The Credit Analyst will implement remedial measures to prevent credit deterioration and safeguard the Bank's interests. This involves reviewing the rationale and judgment used in evaluating applications to assess quality and identify training needs. The role also requires accurate calculation of credit limits, asset quality, price structuring, and required collaterals. Analysis of credit proposals for corporate financing, ensuring compliance with Bank credit limits and policies, is also a critical function. The Credit Analyst will assist Relationship Managers in structuring suitable credit facilities and monitor the credit portfolio for unusual activities, proposing mitigation initiatives.

Operational Duties and Compliance

The Credit Analyst will implement assigned day-to-day processes to ensure compliance with established standards. This includes ensuring all required supporting documents for loan application validation and credit approval are available. The role also involves monitoring changes in SAMA regulations and proposing adjustments to the credit review process for compliance. Additionally, the Credit Analyst will evaluate and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to their segments. Fraud prevention processes and procedures will be implemented and maintained, ensuring employee awareness of their responsibilities.

Reporting and Collaboration

The Credit Analyst will prepare departmental reports accurately and timely for Riyad Bank. Contributions to report improvement and the identification of new reports for higher management are expected. The role involves representing the function and actively contributing in various committees and meetings, both internal and external, to ensure relevant matters are addressed efficiently and accurately. Collaboration with relationship managers and other officers in solving customer issues regarding facility structuring, terms, conditions, and collaterals is also a key aspect of this position.

Qualifications and Experience

The minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience in the credit review field is required.
