About DeepSource and the Role

DeepSource is seeking a Data Privacy Consultant to join our team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position dedicated to establishing and enhancing data privacy and personal data protection programs within the enterprise. The role involves leading initiatives to ensure robust privacy practices are in place and maintained in alignment with global standards.

Program Leadership in Data Privacy

The Data Privacy Consultant will lead enterprise-wide data privacy and personal data protection programs. This includes the development of comprehensive privacy frameworks, policies, and compliance controls. A core aspect of this role involves conducting privacy risk assessments and ensuring regulatory implementation is aligned with applicable privacy laws and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the enterprise Data Privacy Framework.
• Create and maintain Privacy Policies and Procedures.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
• Design and integrate Privacy by Design controls into systems and processes.
• Define and enforce Personal Data Classification standards.
• Develop and manage Consent Management processes.
• Establish and oversee Data Subject Rights procedures.
• Implement and monitor Data Retention and Deletion policies.
• Support Data Breach Management processes.
• Conduct regular Privacy Risk Assessments.
• Map personal data processing activities across the organization.

Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement

This role is crucial for maintaining ongoing compliance and fostering a privacy-aware culture within DeepSource. The consultant will ensure adherence to all applicable privacy regulations and contribute to internal and external privacy initiatives through education and support.

• Ensure continuous compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
• Deliver awareness sessions and stakeholder workshops to promote privacy best practices.
• Support internal and external privacy audits and assessments.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in a relevant field.
• This is an entry-level position; no previous professional experience is required (0-1 years).
