Role Overview

The Dermatology Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care within the dermatology department. This includes administering medications, implementing nursing interventions according to established protocols, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and well-being. The role requires a proactive approach to patient care and a commitment to maintaining high standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, documenting findings and identifying care priorities.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, incorporating patient preferences and evidence-based practices.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols and dosage calculations.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatments and medications, assessing for adverse reactions and intervening as necessary.
• Perform nursing procedures and interventions, including wound care and specimen collection, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Document vital signs, medication administration, treatments, and nursing interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Participate in educational activities and the orientation of new nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff by ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to infection control procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and committee work as assigned.
• Contribute to the review of standards and policies for accreditation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field is necessary.
• Must hold a license from the Saudi Council for Health Specialists.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires flexibility to work different shifts and in various areas as dictated by the needs of the clinic, within the scope of nursing practice at My Clinic KSA. The work environment emphasizes care, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
