About the Role

The Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Director - Commercial - Systems & Rolling Stock to lead the commercial management and strategic oversight of systems and rolling stock procurement, contracts, and reporting. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires over 10 years of experience.

Role Overview

This role is critical for ensuring effective commercial governance, risk management, and financial performance to support the successful delivery of transportation and infrastructure projects. The Director will be responsible for the commercial aspects of systems and rolling stock, ensuring alignment with project objectives and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial activities for systems and rolling stock, including contract negotiation, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize cost efficiency and value.
  • Oversee financial reporting and commercial analysis for relevant projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align commercial objectives with project milestones.
  • Manage risk through proactive identification, mitigation, and contract compliance monitoring.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team focused on systems and rolling stock.
  • Engage with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders to build strategic partnerships.
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, tools, and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Over 12 years of progressive experience in commercial management, preferably within transportation, rolling stock, or systems integration projects.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation, procurement processes, and commercial governance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, cost control, and risk management.
  • Experience on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects, ideally in the Middle East region.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in commercial and financial software tools relevant to project management and reporting.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex and matrixed environment.
