About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Director - District Cooling to lead the development and management of its advanced district cooling systems. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requires over 10 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the effective design, implementation, and operation of sustainability-focused cooling solutions.

Role Overview

The Director - District Cooling will be responsible for driving operational excellence and environmental responsibility within Qiddiya's cooling infrastructure. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing the living and recreational experience through advanced, sustainable cooling technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution for district cooling projects, aligning with organizational goals and sustainability standards.
• Manage the design and engineering processes for district cooling systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee all operational aspects of district cooling, ensuring system efficiency, reliability, and optimal maintenance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for potential district cooling projects and innovations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental legislation.
• Foster strong relationships with regulatory authorities, community representatives, and service providers.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on project developments, budget performance, and operational metrics to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the district cooling team, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about technological advancements and best practices in district cooling and energy management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in district cooling, HVAC system management, or related engineering fields.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of energy efficiency principles, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in project management and design software relevant to cooling systems.
