About the Role

Robert Walters is seeking a Director Presales Software & AI to lead technical engagement with customers, partners, and business stakeholders. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a strong technical foundation combined with significant customer-facing experience. The ideal candidate will have progressed from a software development or engineering background into pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical sales.

Role Focus

This role primarily focuses on understanding customer challenges, leading technical demonstrations, developing proof-of-concepts (POCs), and supporting enterprise customers in the adoption of innovative technology solutions. The Director will serve as a key technical liaison, translating complex business requirements into effective technical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) for customers.
• Engage with business stakeholders, including CEOs, COOs, business owners, and operational leaders, to understand challenges and present solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and value propositions.
• Support customer implementations through technical guidance and onsite engagement.
• Work closely with partners and internal teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.

Candidate Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 years of experience with a strong technical foundation.
• Background in software development, engineering, solutions consulting, or technical architecture.
• Previous experience transitioning from a technical role into pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions consulting.
• Strong understanding of software development concepts and the software development lifecycle.
• Comfortable discussing coding concepts and technologies (*, JavaScript, Python, Java, Microsoft technologies), though hands-on development is not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and senior business stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with automation, RPA, or digital transformation solutions (*, UiPath, Pegasystems, Automation Anywhere, or similar).

Preferred Industry Backgrounds

Candidates with experience from enterprise software, telecom, Big 4 consulting, healthcare, automation, or digital transformation environments are encouraged to apply.
