About the Role

Baja is seeking a Utilities Supervisor to oversee the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all factory utility systems. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and Hawtat Sudair, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Utilities Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the continuous availability of essential factory utilities, including compressed air, nitrogen generation, HVAC, electrical distribution, water, sewage, LPG, and backup power systems. This role involves managing preventive maintenance, coordinating contractors, optimizing energy efficiency, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support uninterrupted factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuous operation and adequate supply of all utility systems during normal and peak production periods.
• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance plans for utility equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for utility breakdowns, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage the maintenance and performance of air compressors, nitrogen generators, HVAC, water and sewage systems, LPG systems, electrical distribution, generators, and cooling systems.
• Monitor utility consumption (electricity, water, air, fuel), identify inefficiencies, and lead initiatives to reduce costs and support energy-saving projects.
• Supervise and develop utility technicians and external contractors, ensuring proper manpower utilization and shift coverage.
• Define critical spare parts requirements, review inventory levels, and support optimization efforts.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, including LOTO, confined space, and permit-to-work procedures, and manage statutory inspections.
• Oversee contractor performance for utility-related work and support utility upgrades and capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS/EAM and report on key utility performance indicators.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in industrial environments.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience with utility systems within FMCG, food, or manufacturing industries.
