About the Finance Manager Role

Ethra For Human Resources Consulting is seeking a Finance Manager on behalf of its client. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires a professional to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. The role is crucial for establishing and maintaining accurate accounting practices and reporting systems as the company prepares for launch and growth. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will be responsible for a comprehensive range of financial activities, including:

  • Supervising the Finance Department's daily operations and ensuring timely completion of all reports.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to produce financial reports and statements.
  • Establishing and enforcing accounting policies, methods, and principles.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing, payment execution, and cash receipt management.
  • Overseeing customer collections, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
  • Controlling asset accounting, CAPEX preparation, and inventory accounting functions.
  • Managing general ledger activities, including manual entries, accruals, amortization, provisions, and trial balance analysis.
  • Preparing and submitting taxation reports, including Zakat, VAT, and withholding tax.
  • Handling banking operational tasks and preparing monthly reporting packages with variance analysis.
  • Evaluating and improving department controls, systems, and procedures for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and participating in audits and reconciliations.
  • Collaborating with other departments on financial strategies and objectives.
  • Liaising with external auditors for year-end closing and reporting.
  • Confirming financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, consolidating financial data, and preparing special reports.
  • Managing team performance, monitoring KPIs, providing feedback, and coaching to achieve objectives.
  • Rewarding employees for quality performance and facilitating training opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Zakat, VAT, taxation, compliance, and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred but not mandatory:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically as a Finance Manager.
  • Experience within the trading or manufacturing industry.
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or CMA.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role involves managing a team and requires collaboration across various departments.
