About the Graphic Designer Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Graphic Designer with 5-10 years of experience to join their team in Riyadh. This regular full-time position focuses on developing compelling visual communication solutions for exhibition, architectural, and cultural projects.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual communication strategies across various project types. This involves developing exhibition graphics, interpretive designs, wayfinding systems, and integrating branding. The role requires close collaboration with architects, exhibition planners, media consultants, and client stakeholders to produce engaging visitor experiences and communication environments that align with international best practices.

• Develop exhibition graphic systems, interpretive panels, environmental graphics, and visitor communication materials.
• Create visually engaging storytelling frameworks to support exhibition narratives.
• Produce information graphics, display graphics, educational content, and exhibition branding elements.
• Support gallery, exhibition, and cultural environment design through graphic solutions.
• Develop wayfinding strategies, signage systems, and visitor orientation solutions.
• Support visitor journey mapping and spatial communication planning.
• Create intuitive graphic communication systems for navigation and accessibility.
• Ensure consistency across visitor-facing communication materials and environmental graphics.
• Collaborate with media and technology teams to support interactive exhibits and digital displays.
• Contribute to media planning, storyboarding, and digital content frameworks.
• Assist in integrating graphic content within interactive and multimedia exhibition environments.
• Produce high-quality presentation boards, infographics, visual reports, and communication packages.
• Develop exhibition concepts, mood boards, and visual narratives.
• Create graphics and visual assets to support stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure alignment of exhibition and project graphics with RCRC branding requirements.
• Develop visual identity solutions for exhibitions and visitor experiences.
• Maintain graphic consistency across various project deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with architects, interior architects, exhibition designers, and media specialists.
• Participate in workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
• Communicate design intent clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prepare graphic packages, visual communication materials, and project documentation.
• Maintain organized project files, graphic standards, and design assets.
• Ensure quality control and consistency across all visual outputs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Exhibition Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field. A minimum of 7–10 years of professional graphic design experience is required, with demonstrated experience in exhibition, museum, cultural, visitor attraction, interpretation, or placemaking projects. Experience working within multidisciplinary design consultancies, exhibition design firms, or cultural institutions is expected. Experience on large-scale public sector, cultural, or destination development projects is highly desirable. Middle East experience is considered an advantage.

Technical and Design Skills

Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is essential, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro. Experience with After Effects is preferred. Strong skills in information design, typography, visual storytelling, and layout design are necessary. Familiarity with digital media, interactive exhibits, and multimedia content integration is important. Knowledge of exhibition planning, museum interpretation, and visitor experience principles is required. Knowledge of 3D visualization workflows and coordination with architectural teams is advantageous.
