About the Role

NHC is seeking a Manager of Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and management of its cybersecurity architecture and engineering functions. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring the development of secure systems, effective cryptographic key management, and robust cloud and hosting security.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Manager will be responsible for providing expert cybersecurity advice, aligning architecture and strategies with business objectives, and conducting assessments to recommend improvements. This role involves overseeing the delivery of cybersecurity services in line with organizational and compliance requirements, managing SLAs, and monitoring service performance. A key focus will be leading the design and implementation of secure architectures for systems and applications, ensuring their scalability and alignment with best practices, and integrating security into the system development lifecycle.

• Managing and enforcing security controls across systems and applications to protect against evolving threats.
• Overseeing cryptographic key lifecycle management, including policy development and compliance.
• Ensuring the security of cloud and hosting environments through the implementation of appropriate controls and best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with NCA and other cybersecurity regulations, monitoring changes, and updating policies accordingly.
• Continuously enhancing cybersecurity architecture, policies, and practices, staying updated with emerging trends and technologies.
• Collaborating with the CISO and other cybersecurity teams to align initiatives with organizational goals and enhance overall security maturity.

Organizational Context

This role reports directly to the Cybersecurity Director (CISO). The Manager will supervise members of the Enterprise Security Architecture Team and the Cybersecurity Engineering Team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. The role requires 6+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering, including strong expertise in defining security principles, methodologies, and architectural models. Hands-on experience securing cloud and hosting environments, secure configuration management, and translating technical requirements into secure designs is essential. Experience in implementing and managing cryptographic key management systems, assessing and enhancing organizational cybersecurity architecture, and a strong knowledge of NCA standards, SABSA framework, and other security frameworks are required.

• Preferred Certifications: CISSP (ISSAP preferred), CISM, GCAD, CCSP, SSCP, SABSA Chartered Practitioner (SCP).

Stakeholder Engagement

The Manager will engage with key internal stakeholders including the NHC Cybersecurity Department, the Cybersecurity Director (CISO), the IT Department, and Business Units and System Owners. External engagement will involve Regulatory Bodies (*, NCA), Vendors and Technology Partners, and Government and Industry Forums.
