About the Role

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is seeking a qualified Mechanical Inspector to join their team in Riyadh. HCO is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm in Saudi Arabia, providing comprehensive architectural, engineering, planning, and consultancy services across various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, and healthcare.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical installations on construction projects. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and supervise mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems.
  • Ensure mechanical installations adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
  • Verify that materials and equipment delivered to the site meet project requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure the quality of workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, mechanical codes, and safety standards.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
  • Identify non-conformance issues and coordinate the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and contractors on technical matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection and construction supervision.
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Proficiency in testing and commissioning procedures for mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with Saudi codes and industry standards relevant to mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting systems.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
