About the Role

Qualcomm is expanding its presence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, investing in world-class computing and data center capabilities to power AI, cloud, and advanced connectivity. We are seeking a Model Accuracy and AI Performance Senior Staff Engineer to join the Qualcomm AI team. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on providing hands-on technical leadership in the design, optimization, and deployment of machine learning frameworks and applications on Qualcomm AI platforms.

Role Context and Impact

The Qualcomm AI team develops hardware and software for Machine Learning solutions spanning data center, edge, infrastructure, and automotive markets. This position operates with broad technical scope, high autonomy, and significant cross-team impact. The successful candidate will drive complex initiatives end-to-end, influence technical direction through expertise and execution, and mentor engineers across the organization while remaining deeply hands-on. Job activities span the full product life cycle, from early research and architecture through commercial deployment and sustained optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, enhance, and implement various components of machine learning frameworks and Graph optimizations for performance and accuracy tailored towards Qualcomm NPUs.
• Analyze software requirements, determine the feasibility of design within given constraints, consult with architecture and hardware engineers, and implement software solutions best suited for Qualcomm's SOCs.
• Analyze and identify system-level integration issues, interfacing with the software development, integration, and test teams.
• Work on the latest Generative AI techniques and adapt them for NPUs, architecting new techniques optimized for Qualcomm SOCs and architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through design reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on collaboration, influencing best practices without direct people-management responsibility.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a minimum of 12 years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires frequent cross-functional collaboration, strong technical judgment, and the ability to independently plan, execute, and influence complex engineering efforts across various teams and disciplines.

Compensation Package

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive salary, housing and transport allowances, Stock (RSUs), and a performance-related bonus.
