About the Role

Welo Data is seeking Pakistani English Audio Evaluators for a project focused on evaluating English audio clips featuring a Pakistani accent. This part-time, freelance contract role requires individuals with a strong ability to discern linguistic nuances and maintain high-quality standards. The work involves assessing and analyzing audio recordings to ensure they meet specific project guidelines, with a focus on accent recognition, identifying regional variations, and evaluating speech naturalness.

As an Audio Evaluator, you will contribute to refining audio data by providing objective feedback on spoken content. This is a remote position, offering flexibility for candidates located in or around Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to short English audio clips with a Pakistani accent and evaluate them using a defined rubric.
• Accurately identify target accents from provided audio samples.
• Compare multiple audio recordings to determine which sounds more natural in relation to the target accent.
• Apply consistent and objective judgment based on provided evaluation guidelines.
• Maintain high quality and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Native-level fluency in English, with a comprehensive understanding of Pakistani regional accents and dialects.
• Fluency in written and verbal English to comprehend instructions, evaluation criteria, and project documentation.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to identify and differentiate subtle variations in accents.
• Capability to follow detailed guidelines and apply them consistently during the evaluation process.
