About the Role

Afaq - Warehouse Branch is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the expansion of Amazon's operations network across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in Riyadh and involves leading significant initiatives that directly impact customer experience and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

The Program Manager will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of expansion projects, from initial site selection and design through construction, launch readiness, and operational handover. This position requires close collaboration with various internal teams, including operations, engineering, finance, procurement, real estate, and technology, as well as external partners, to ensure new facilities are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role demands strong program management capabilities, the ability to manage ambiguity, influence stakeholders across different functions, and drive execution in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of network expansion and launch programs, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, launch schedules, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies for multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and real estate teams to define project requirements and ensure successful execution.
• Manage external vendors, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track project performance using data and metrics, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee stakeholder communication, providing clear updates on milestones, dependencies, financial performance, risks, and launch readiness.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance launch speed, reduce costs, and increase scalability.
• Support business planning activities, including capital planning, budget forecasting, resource planning, and long-term network expansion strategies.
• Conduct site visits and audits to validate project progress, operational readiness, quality standards, and compliance.
• Develop scalable tools, mechanisms, and operating models to support future expansion programs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
• A minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience delivering cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Proficiency in project management, including resource planning, schedule management, status reporting, and task prioritization for multiple projects.
• Possession of a PMP certificate.
• Experience communicating project results to senior leadership.
