About the Project Manager Role at Alfanar

Alfanar is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in project management, focused on achieving project objectives within defined timelines, scope, and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of projects throughout their lifecycle. This includes developing detailed project plans, defining scope and objectives, and coordinating all project activities and resources to ensure timely delivery of outcomes. Effective communication and reporting to stakeholders are critical to achieving successful project results.

Key Accountability Areas

• Project Planning and Delivery: Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria. Coordinate project activities and resources. Monitor execution to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
• Stakeholder and Team Management: Engage and coordinate with project stakeholders. Facilitate communication among project teams and business owners. Manage stakeholder expectations and project requirements. Conduct project meetings and follow up on action items.
• Risk, Issue, and Change Management: Identify and assess project risks and issues. Develop mitigation and contingency plans. Manage and review project change requests. Escalate critical risks, issues, and changes when required.
• Quality and Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance against approved plans. Review deliverables against acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with project standards and quality requirements. Track project KPIs and report progress to stakeholders.
• Governance, Reporting, and Vendor Coordination: Prepare project reports, dashboards, and status updates. Apply approved project management methodologies and templates. Support the preparation of scopes of work and project documentation. Coordinate with vendors and monitor contractual deliverables.

Leadership and Performance Management

This role requires strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to identify, develop, and manage high-performing team members, as well as guide or release underperformers. The Project Manager must treat subordinates equally, basing assessments on performance and the achievement of planned results. Ensuring the availability of a delegation of authority matrix in line with company policy is also a key responsibility.

Operational Excellence and Business Acumen

The Project Manager must take full responsibility for their operations, adhering to the job description and company guidelines. This includes anticipating and proactively preventing problems, making timely and appropriate decisions, and delivering required results with the specified quality and cost. The role involves transforming corporate goals into actionable business plans, monitoring their execution, and initiating corrective actions to strengthen results. Budget and expense monitoring for optimum cost efficiency is also essential. Furthermore, the Project Manager will contribute to organizational development by ensuring appropriate structures and job descriptions are in place, and will drive business process improvements through system development, policy implementation, and automation opportunities.
