About the Role

Amazon's International Public Policy team is seeking a Public Policy Manager for the KSA region. This role is part of a dynamic team supporting Amazon's global consumer and digital businesses across various international markets. The policy issues addressed are broad, forward-thinking, and customer-centric, involving engagement with a wide range of policymakers, industry organizations, and non-governmental organizations on consumer and commercial policy matters.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As the Public Policy Manager, KSA, you will be responsible for engaging with policymakers and non-governmental groups to support Amazon's consumer-centric business model within Saudi Arabia. This involves developing a strong understanding of the public policy and regulatory landscape, as well as identifying and engaging with key stakeholders. You will coordinate across Amazon's business units, both locally and globally, to formulate and implement positioning and engagement strategies.

  • Design external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate Amazon's engagement with relevant industry associations and broader coalitions.
  • Manage consultancy support as needed.
  • Develop solutions for complex business challenges and provide clear, confident guidance, particularly in ambiguous situations.
  • Operate respectfully and collaboratively within wider regional and international structures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or Economic Development.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public policy.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is part of Amazon's International Public Policy team, which operates across a broad geographical scope and addresses diverse policy issues.
