About the Senior Accountant Role

AlRajhi United is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting to manage and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. The role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reporting, while also safeguarding company assets and supporting sound financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll administration, and financial recordkeeping.
• Review, verify, and maintain accurate documentation for invoices, payments, and financial records.
• Perform bookkeeping, financial data entry, validation, and record verification.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to ensure financial record accuracy.
• Process payroll accurately and in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Monitor employee benefit payments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare supporting schedules and transaction documentation for accounting and future reference.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient payment processing and financial operations.
• Monitor and record expenditures, providing insights into cost trends.
• Support budget control initiatives by identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain cost allocation structures and accounting rules.
• Perform general accounting activities, including maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and related control schedules.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive professional experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Professional certifications such as CMA or CPA are preferred.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial reporting standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves cross-functional coordination with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations.
