About Qiddiya and the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Entertainment Strategy to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to shaping the strategic direction of our entertainment assets and initiatives, ensuring the creation of memorable and captivating experiences for visitors.

Strategic Contribution

The Senior Director will play a critical role in supporting the overarching entertainment asset class strategy. This involves overseeing the early stages of new entertainment asset development, from pre-concept to concept design, to ensure alignment with Qiddiya's strategic offering and financial objectives. The position requires a focused approach to integrate new concepts into Qiddiya City's entertainment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Executive Director of Entertainment Strategy in developing and executing the overarching entertainment asset class strategy to achieve portfolio and asset ambitions, vision, and objectives.
• Oversee design (pre-concept and concept) and early development stages of new entertainment assets, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's entertainment offering and financial targets.
• Lead research and delivery of new entertainment concepts for integration into Qiddiya City's entertainment portfolio of assets; understand value proposition, prepare feasibility assessments, and develop high-level implementation roadmaps.
• Manage contracted vendors, IP licensors, and other third parties to ensure deliverables align with the overall project vision, offering, and relevant briefs (strategy brief and/or development brief).
• Develop initial go-live strategies, encompassing operating models, pricing, sales and marketing, and manpower planning, while providing implementation support to other functions across Qiddiya.
• Prepare presentations and other supporting materials required for seeking necessary approvals from Qiddiya Stage governance framework, Senior Management, and the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate closely with the Qiddiya Entertainment Business Unit and other stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of new projects and overall alignment with directives received from Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
• Establish and monitor key project KPIs covering development, business, financial, and operational plans to ensure alignment with project vision.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, hiring plans, and strategic and implementation plans relevant to the Entertainment strategy function.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic direction for entertainment assets and initiatives.
• Experience in overseeing design and early development stages of large-scale entertainment projects.
• Proven track record in vendor, IP licensor, and third-party management.
• Strong analytical skills for feasibility assessments and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership and board-level interactions.
