About the Role

Hill International (Middle East) Limited is seeking a Senior Projects Risk Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

This role demands a strong foundation in pre-construction management, encompassing contract administration, procurement, tendering, estimating, and cost control. A solid understanding of schedule management and the complete project lifecycle, from pre-design through to closeout, is essential. The Senior Projects Risk Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all facets of project planning, development, and execution for various projects. This includes leading meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues across all project phases.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues.
  • Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects, detailing processes for risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation.
  • Predict potential financial liability for the Division.
  • Handle costs, claims associated with cost and time, manage change orders, and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within the agreed scope.
  • Understand and ensure continued compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Management from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and/or project management, including prior experience as a risk manager on large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem identification, assessment of alternatives, and determination of solutions.
  • Proven experience and understanding of commercial risk management practices and procedures, with a preference for experience within the relevant cluster context.
  • Proven experience in risk quantification (cost/schedule/quality/safety).
  • Proven experience in maintaining risk management databases (*, ARM).
  • Proven experience with corporate risk management procedures.
  • Experience working internationally, with a preference for KSA experience.
