Role Overview

Ma'aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Laboratory Technician to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to driving high-impact outcomes within Mining & Minerals Processing. The Senior Specialist will execute specialized laboratory and technical activities that support innovation initiatives, process improvements, and operational performance. This position contributes directly to Ma'aden’s Technology & Innovation strategy by enabling accurate testing, analysis, and technical insights to support process development and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive laboratory testing, experiments, and sample analysis, ensuring adherence to defined procedures, standards, and proper sample handling.
Provide essential process support and technical execution by assisting R&D and pilot testing programs and delivering accurate, timely test results for process optimization.
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are functional, safe, and compliant with operational requirements and safety practices.
Conduct thorough data analysis, identify trends and anomalies, and prepare detailed reports for technical and operational stakeholders, maintaining robust documentation.
Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety standards, environmental policies, operational procedures, quality control protocols, and support audits for regulatory adherence.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance laboratory processes, testing methodologies, and efficiency, and support the implementation of best practices and new technologies.
Foster collaboration with metallurgists, engineers, and technical teams, sharing knowledge and insights to support integrated delivery, decision-making, and knowledge management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in laboratory operations, particularly within the mining or minerals processing industry. A strong foundation in laboratory testing methodologies, equipment operation, data analysis, and quality control is essential for success in this position.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a dynamic team environment, requiring close collaboration with various technical and operational departments to achieve integrated project goals and support strategic initiatives.
