About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Riyadh Region. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the solar PV sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical layouts for both rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
• Prepare and verify Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV plants.
• Coordinate effectively with civil, mechanical, and procurement teams to ensure project progression.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with IEC/IEEE standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve electrical issues that arise during the execution phase.
• Support grid synchronization, inverter configuration, and performance testing activities.
• Review vendor drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and other technical documentation.
• Assist in the planning and troubleshooting of operation and maintenance (O&M) activities.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and as-built documentation.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in solar PV design tools such as PVsyst and AutoCAD.
• Strong capabilities in performing electrical calculations, including load flow, cable sizing, and fault level analysis.
• Solid understanding of grid interconnection standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The engineer will be an integral part of the project execution team, working within the Riyadh Region.
