About the Role

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Fleet *** - Commerce - Fulfillment Operations to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves comprehensive oversight and management of the company's delivery fleet, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of goods within the e-commerce fulfillment operations.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Fleet Lead is to ensure that all fleet operations are conducted safely, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with legal and company requirements. This includes monitoring driver performance, managing vehicle maintenance schedules, and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize overall fleet efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle allocation, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely deliveries.
• Lead and supervise a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs of the fleet to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
• Track fleet performance metrics such as fuel efficiency, delivery times, and maintenance costs, taking action to improve performance and reduce expenses.
• Ensure all fleet operations comply with legal regulations, safety protocols, and company policies, including conducting regular safety checks and driver training.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes, reduce fuel consumption, and increase efficiency in delivery times.
• Manage the fleet budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high service standards, and identifying areas for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including vehicle leasing companies, fuel suppliers, and maintenance service providers, to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, fuel usage, and driver performance, and prepare reports on fleet performance for management review.
• Provide ongoing training and development for drivers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for effective role performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in fleet management or a similar operational role, preferably within an e-commerce or fulfillment environment.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, contributing to the e-commerce fulfillment operations of Panda Retail Company – Savola Group.
