About the ACES Manager Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking an experienced ACES Manager for its operations in Jeddah. This full-time role is part of a newly formed organization focused on designing and launching new business models across the MENA region, specifically within the ultra-fast grocery delivery sector. The position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview and Mission

The ACES Manager will play a critical role in leading improvements for Amazon's ultra-fast grocery last-mile operations. The core mission is to ensure Amazon is the preferred online destination for customers, delivering on their needs through innovation and efficient delivery. This role contributes to enabling customers to discover and purchase a wide range of products online.

Key Responsibilities

The ACES Manager will serve as a key liaison between local operations and country business teams, driving innovation and ensuring adherence to best practices. Key focus areas include Safety, People, Quality, Customer Experience, Productivity, Costs, and Environment. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting project execution across multiple organizational functions.
• Resolving issues amicably during cross-functional discussions.
• Holding functions accountable for their deliverables.
• Partnering with international teams to implement and share best practices.
• Maintaining and promoting Health and Safety standards and culture.
• Providing operational leadership through performance measurement, feedback, and development support.
• Driving continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and productivity.
• Engaging in strategic planning for the short to medium term, including peak-season planning.
• Preparing and articulating leadership updates, including MBRs and QBRs.
• Establishing objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
• Equipping the team with necessary tools and driving productivity improvements through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.

Program Management Focus

Program Managers are central to leading last-mile improvements for Amazon customers. This involves driving standardization efforts, acting as liaisons with other departments, providing process expertise for in-house operations and last-mile stations, offering subject matter expertise for UTR (Under the Roof) and routing planning, supporting Kaizen events, and coordinating cross-functional projects for successful implementation across Amazon Now Stores.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong record of achieving results. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. Specific expertise is needed in areas such as UTR, routing, and OTR (Out the Room) planning.
