About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at Shangri-La Jeddah, a luxury waterfront destination in Jeddah. This full-time position involves overseeing all culinary aspects across six distinct outlets, including two specialty restaurants, banquet facilities, and in-room dining.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Executive Chef is responsible for the culinary vision and operational excellence of the hotel's food and beverage offerings. The role focuses on ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards, and contributing to strong financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Champion culinary creativity while preserving consistency and quality across all outlets.
Inspire and develop a high-performing culinary team, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Curate innovative menus and seasonal promotions aligned with brand positioning.
Lead large-scale banquet operations with precision and refinement.
Drive food cost efficiency and productivity while maintaining uncompromising standards.
Uphold the highest levels of hygiene, food safety, and sustainability.
Engage with guests to understand their preferences and continuously elevate the dining experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in international luxury hospitality.
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or equivalent senior culinary leadership role.
Demonstrated strong financial acumen and operational discipline.
Ability to mentor and build effective teams.
Possesses creativity, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for guest engagement.

Work Environment

This role is based at Shangri-La Jeddah, a luxury waterfront destination. The Executive Chef will lead a large culinary brigade within a dynamic and high-standard hospitality environment.
