About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Service Associate - Waiter to join their Food & Beverage team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

Role Overview

The Service Associate - Waiter plays a key role in guest satisfaction within the Food & Beverage outlets. Beyond standard service duties, the position focuses on actively delighting guests and ensuring their dining experiences align with Shangri-La Standards. This involves attentive service and creating positive interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the restaurant environment prior to service periods.
Provide recommendations on menu selections to guests.
Accurately take guest orders and serve food and beverages with care.
Focus on guest satisfaction and aim to create positive and memorable moments during service.
Coordinate effectively with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Ensure all guest billing is processed accurately and posted correctly.
Adhere to Shangri-La's established Food Safety Processes and Procedures.
Support colleagues to ensure the overall success of the Food & Beverage outlet.
Assist supervisors in maintaining smooth and efficient meal service operations.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including dish preparation details.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a waiter in a 5-star hotel environment.
Strong conversational skills suitable for engaging with guests.
Proficiency in English language communication.
A positive attitude and a demonstrable willingness to learn and develop.
