Role Overview

Amazon Business is seeking an Associate Vendor Manager, Retail Vendor Recruitment, to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals and focuses on expanding Amazon's Retail business by establishing new collaborations with vendors and integrating their product portfolios into the ****** stores.

Core Function and Objectives

As part of the Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR) organization, this role is central to negotiating, recruiting, and onboarding new vendors. The primary objective is to build the best possible selection for Amazon customers. The Associate Vendor Manager will be responsible for achieving business objectives and contributing to the growth and future direction of Amazon Retail in Saudi Arabia.

Vendor Recruitment and Integration

Key responsibilities in vendor recruitment and integration include:

  • Identifying, prospecting, and engaging with potential new vendors, analyzing their potential for Amazon.
  • Leading initial outreach through cold-calling potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs.
  • Clearly explaining the advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon to prospective vendors.
  • Coordinating closely with retail teams to guide new vendors through all onboarding phases, up to their first units shipped.

Vendor Relationship Management

The role involves significant vendor interaction and support:

  • Acting as a business consultant to new vendors, providing insights and advice across different business profiles and sectors.
  • Assisting new vendors in integrating their catalogue data into the Amazon store.
  • Training vendors on how to master and utilize Amazon’s internal tools.
  • Serving as an ambassador for Amazon, developing a deep understanding of vendor needs and success drivers.

Performance Analysis and Process Improvement

The Associate Vendor Manager will also contribute to operational excellence:

  • Planning, conducting, delivering, and reporting analyses to understand the performance of recruited vendors.
  • Helping to develop and improve recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Assisting in removing any technical blockers and identifying areas for technical improvement.

Candidate Profile and Work Environment

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. This position requires an individual who can work autonomously, think both strategically and tactically, and take full control and responsibility for achieving their goals. The role operates within a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment that continuously seeks new efficiencies.
