About the Role

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Clinical & IT Applications Consultant for Digital Pathology to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, remote position focuses on translating customer clinical and IT requirements into effective solutions using Leica Biosystems' digital pathology products and services, supporting customers in their digital transformation journeys.

Role Purpose

The Clinical & IT Applications Consultant serves as a key liaison, converting customer needs into commercially viable solutions. This role is integral to the META Digital Pathology Organization, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, META – Digital Pathology. The objective is to enable customers to achieve a seamless digital transformation in pathology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders across clinical, IT, and procurement departments, acting as a consultative advisor.
• Translate customer needs, workflows, and constraints into comprehensive and scalable end-to-end solution designs.
• Design digital pathology solutions, including Whole Slide Imaging (WSI), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) image analysis, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Laboratory Information System (LIS) integration, and infrastructure, aligned with clinical and operational requirements.
• Deliver advanced customer demonstrations covering both clinical and IT workflows.
• Lead or support technical and clinical tender responses, including compliance matrices, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and architectures.
• Define and validate third-party IT requirements and quotations for necessary hardware such as servers, storage, and networking.
• Provide clinical and technical training to pathologists, laboratory staff, and IT teams.
• Support deployment activities and post-go-live optimization efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Informatics.
• A hybrid clinical-IT background is strongly preferred.
• Proven exposure to:
  • LIS integration, DICOM/HL7, and PACS workflows, including related servers and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Pre-sales activities, product demonstrations, and tendering processes.
  • Laboratory or pathology environments.
• Strong customer engagement skills at all levels, with the ability to establish a clear, differentiated, solution-based value proposition.

Travel and Work Arrangement

This role requires the ability to travel domestically up to 75% to ensure full geographical coverage within Saudi Arabia. International travel may also be required, though less frequently. The position is eligible for a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from home.

Additional Experience

Experience in Digital Pathology, pathology imaging software, and/or AI-enabled solutions would be considered an advantage.
