About the Commercial Operations Executive Role

Tabby is seeking a Commercial Operations Executive to support its merchant and channel partner ecosystem. This full-time role is central to the company's cross-functional operations, ensuring merchants are successfully onboarded and integrated. The position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual comfortable with both technical concepts and business discussions, aiming to solve operational challenges and improve processes for merchant success at scale.

Role and Responsibilities

The Commercial Operations Executive will serve as the primary operational and technical liaison between Tabby and its partner merchants. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating closely with Risk, Integrations, Business Development (BD), and Key Account teams.
  • Overseeing merchant and channel partner technical onboarding, encompassing documentation, testing coordination, progress tracking, and timely activation.
  • Managing merchant data-enablement workflows to ensure data capture, validation, and alignment with risk and underwriting requirements.
  • Leading negotiations with merchants on technical requirements, ensuring understanding of Tabby’s data, integration, and compliance needs while balancing business objectives.
  • Coordinating cross-functional alignment for product rollouts, including preparing merchant-facing materials and supporting Go-To-Market (GTM) plans.
  • Analyzing merchant performance and integration health to identify operational gaps and propose improvements.
  • Owning and improving internal documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for scalable and standardized onboarding, integration, and partner success processes.
  • Supporting BD teams in technical discussions with merchants, ensuring sales cycle commitments align with product and risk capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Approximately 1 year of experience in Partner Success, Technical Account Management, Fintech Operations, Payments, E-commerce integrations, SaaS onboarding, or a similar field.
  • Strong technical literacy, including an understanding of APIs, webhooks, e-commerce platforms, plugins, and payment flows.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data patterns and identify integration or data quality issues.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing negotiations with merchants regarding technical or data requirements, balancing business needs with technical feasibility.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create processes, SOPs, and clear merchant-facing guides.

Additional Preferred Skills

Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services, payment gateways, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), or e-commerce checkout flows.
  • Supporting enterprise merchants and managing negotiation discussions.

Work Context

This is a full-time position at Tabby. The role requires a proactive approach to managing technical and operational aspects of merchant partnerships, contributing to a seamless payment experience for customers.
